Norwalks boys soccer team runs record to 3-0

BRIDGEPORT – Visiting Norwalk fell behind by a goal early on, but stormed back to take a 4-1 win over Bridgeport Central on Tuesday in boys soccer action at Kennedy Stadium.

Yoel Salvador staked the Hilltoppers to a 1-0 lead, scoring in the 15th minute.

Norwalk’s Bill Chirinos tied the game at 1-1 with Patrick Barrantes assisting. Barrantes scored two more goals — one assisted by Santi Mesa — and also set up a Miguel Argueta tally. Argueta returned the favor by hooking Barrantes up with his second goal.

Tito Aponte made five saves.

Norwalk outshot Bridgeport Central 12-6.

The Bears, now 3-0, travel to Ridgefield on Thursday.
