FAIRFIELD — The Norwalk High School boys soccer team is once again racing to clinch the top seed in the conference playoffs. The Bears tallied their eleventh win of the season Wednesday evening, edging Fairfield Ludlowe, 2-1.
Norwalk’s offense struggled against the Falcons, but two free kicks would prove to be the difference. Nic Zuniga and Erick Romero each scored on direct shots, giving Norwalk all the scoring it would need. Romero’s eventual game-winner came in the 69th minute to snap a 1-1 tie.
With three games remaining in the regular season, Norwalk (11-1-1) heads back to Fairfield on Friday to take on Warde at 4 p.m.
