Norwalk wins opener at Wilton
Nick Zuniga scored two goals to lift the Bears to victory in their season opener at Wilton High.
Zuniga gave his team a 1-0 lead in the fourth minute off an assist from Andres Torres. He scored his second goal in the 17th minute with an assist from Chris Puente. The Bears outshot the Warriors (0-2) 9-2 and they had more corner kicks (6-0). Goalie Alex Hurd made one save in the shutout and his counterpart Nick Nanez made six saves.
Norwalk coach Chris Laughton lauded his back line of Tyler Collins, Spencer Jacoby, Mike Lepoutre and Danny Quintero for keeping the Warriors at bay.
