Norwalk girls soccer looks to turn the corner

NORWALK — When a young coach takes over a young struggling program, the focus is more often than not about the future.

As such, in an effort to stay positive, such talk can sometimes be lip service.

At Norwalk High, however, second-year coach Mike Surace apparently is not blowing smoke about his program.

NORWALK — As the new girls varsity soccer coach at Norwalk High, Mike Surace knows the job in front of him isn’t easy.

Surace named new girls soccer coach

NORWALK — Mike Surace’s link to the past hopes it bodes well for the future.

Surace, a Norwalk native and member of the 2004 Norwalk High boys soccer team that made the FCIAC and Class LL state finals, was recently named the head coach of the NHS girls soccer team and he would like to see the success he experienced as a player translate over to the girls program.
